What is Christmas Journey?
A web app for making a Christmas journey for your children. Choose Santa or Baby Jesus, set a destination, write messages and decide when the presents arrive. Children follow the map and open envelopes along the way. The route is part of your story, rather than a real person’s location.
What can we try without signing up?
The sample map and messages and all the articles. The preview needs no personal details. Sign in to the app when you’re ready to make your own journey.
Does my child need an account?
No. The parent has an account and creates a link and PIN for a child or grandparent. Each invitation can be revoked separately and does not allow changes to the parent’s plan.
What if the presents aren’t ready?
Arrival waits for your confirmation. If you need a longer break, pause movement on the map and new messages too. You can review the revised times before continuing.
Does the map have to stay open all day?
No. A scheduled day continues with the page closed. Return to it between your usual family activities. An internet connection is needed to load the current state and use the controls.
Can we have presents in the evening or the morning?
Yes. Choose the date, time and either evening or morning presents. The morning option includes a goodnight message. Santa and Baby Jesus can both write in English or Czech.
How does it work for siblings?
The children follow one journey. A message can address one child or everyone, but all invited family members can read it. Children with separate invitations can each send their own reactions.
Do I need a full name and exact address?
A nickname is enough for a greeting. Choose a destination for the journey; an approximate-area option is available. Share links and PINs only with the people you want to invite. The app’s privacy information explains storage and deletion.
Do we have to install anything?
It is a web app that opens in a browser. An adult can read the messages with younger children on a shared phone or tablet. Test your invitation on the device you plan to use before the day begins.
What if the internet drops?
The map won’t update and the controls won’t work reliably without a connection. Check the times and position once you’re back online. Agree the plan for presents with the other adults so you can carry on without the app if needed.
How much does it cost?
The preview and articles are free, as is a parent account. We’ll confirm pricing for your own family journey and the public launch date later. There’s nothing to buy on this website yet.
Are voice messages and pictures available?
Not yet. Children can read written messages today. Voice and generated illustrations are in development. If you choose either format in the app, it currently shows the text.
